Cyndi Lauper wants to set the record straight regarding the two-year-old rumor that she totally ate bird dookie in the middle of a concert. (This is what you call a slow news day, folks.) The New York Post reports:
[S]he explained: "It is not true that a flying bird once pooped in my mouth when I was singing in a concert. It did not go in my mouth. It went on my lower lip. I could not taste it. I just wiped it off . . . I actually considered it a good-luck sign."
You gotta love how she has taken what was clearly just an avian act of protest against "Time After Time," and is trying to spin it into blessing from above. Yeah, tell it to the roof of our Jetta, Cynd.

You're right, the media doesn't always report it, but Cyndi's still one of the best singers ever, also I've seen her in concert many times and she's always sensational!, as are her albums and songs.
I only wish they would play more of her newer songs on the radio so everyone could know how great she still is.

Growing up I always felt different,seeing Cyndi Lauper becoming a huge star made me feel more secure about myself.She made a lot of people,specially a lot of "different" girls,feel cool and important.Nothing wrong to get pooed on by a bird,my grandmother used to tell me that it is a sign of good luck.Cyndi Lauper thank you for your wonderful music.You Rock!!

She is a truly inspiration for me.Saw her in concert with my gay brother(I love my little brother)she came out wearing a rainbow flag and started to sing "True Colors",the whole place was in tear,speacially when she sings..Don't be afraid to show your true colors..they are beautiful like the rainbows...I would never forget that moment, her voice, my brother and I hugging each others,the whole stadium was in tears.Few singers can take you to places like she does with her music.I Just LOve everything about Her!

I just love her music so much.Great to hear that she is doing so well.Saw her opening for Cher,she was fantastic,her energy and passion for music is something that other singer nowdays don't have.I became an instant fan of her after seeing her live.I highly recommend to see her do her thing live, it is just the best performance I've seen in years!

If I ever feel sad or had a bad day..I always take a Cyndi Lauper CD to listen to in the car...funny how her music can make me forget about anything that is negative.I personally believe that she is amazinly talented, she can sing, she can act, she is currently doing a Broadway Show, a grammy winner, a Emmy winner...Her career just keeps getting better!

Cyndi Lauper is one of the greatest singers of our time. She deserves much more respect than what she gets. Seeing her live was an amazing experience.This woman can sing!!Love her music,her sense of humour,her style, and most of all, I love that Cyndi has always been herself...An inspiration as a human being too!.
