Actress Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday in Los Angeles. A rep for the actress tells Usmagazine.com, "both mother and baby are doing well."
The baby's father is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who Moynahan dated for three years until their split in late 2006. Since the breakup, Brady has been seeing supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
Though it's unclear whether Brady, 30, was present at the birth, he was not at Patriots practice today, and Entertainment Tonight spotted him at a Los Angeles hospital with flowers.
In a recent interview with the AP, Brady said he hoped he'd be able to take time off for the birth, though he suspected his football schedule and Pat's coach Bill Belichick might get in the way. "I wish I [knew when the baby will be born]," he told reporters. "That's God's decision. The good lord is making that call. So I think everybody's anxious. I'll put it that way." When asked a question that could potentially reveal Moynahan's due date, Brady evaded it, saying, "It's stuff that's very private to me and it's my family," before playfully adding, "I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out when it happens."
Six Degrees star Moynahan, 36, announced her pregnancy in February, allegedly surprising ex Brady. A friend of Brady's told Us, "He's disappointed this is how she's decided to play it. She announced it to make him look like a jerk."
Meanwhile his official statement read, "Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support."

Congratulations, Bridget! I am a mother myself but I just don't know how you did it without a partner on your side. I remember going through my pregnancy, I needed my husband's support especially when you know that it is the day. I commend you for that. I know you have all the means and I'm sure you have your friends and family around you. But you know what? You will love your baby boy more than anything in the world. That's how I felt and still is. It is an amazing feeling so enjoy your baby, because they grow so fast. Someday he will grow up and would think of you as the greatest mom he ever had.

Okay after three kids I can tell you that a pregnancy is considered 10 lunar months and 9 calendar months. Some women know the date they get pregnant and some don't. A first time mom going over her due date is nothing new, I went over mine by 4 days to be blessed with a 10 lb 10 lz baby boy. I learned after that to be induced early. Mom and baby are healthy that is all that really matters. RIGHT?

Yes, it is 40 weeks. They count from the first day of your last cycle (when you obviously can't be pregnant until you ovulate after your cycle). I'm not sure why it is done this way, I would assume because most people cannot pin point the exact day they became pregnant.
