From pop tart to pop art!

Britney Spears’ career may be in trouble but a new art exhibit proves that she is still a source of inspiration. The singer is now the subject of a 50-piece art show called “Just Britney,” which opened at a Hollywood gallery on Friday.

"We reached out to a number of artists and found Britney is such a polarizing character these days," Steven Corfe, a co-curator of the show, told Reuters.

"People absolutely adored her and wanted to celebrate her bubblegum, pop princess years. Or, they thought she was an irresponsible mother and wanted to play up the drug side of things," Corfe added. "The show reflects that whole spectrum."

That spectrum includes a portrait made entirely of chewed bubble gum titled "Gum Blond XLVIII", as well as a 10-foot by 6-foot painting "Snake Charmer,” based on a paparazzi shot of the 25-year-old singer exiting a car in a short skirt with no panties on.

"Just Britney" runs through early October at Bailey's and Barbatos' World of Wonder art gallery in Hollywood.

"She personifies our obsession with celebrity culture, and it's an obsession that won't die down no matter how far she goes off the rail," Corfe said. "We love to put people up on a pillar and we love even more to shoot them down."
