Lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were back in a Los Angeles court Tuesday, where a judge granted Spears’ request for a continuance. Brit’s lawyer Laura Wasser told reporters outside the courtoom that the next hearing would be held in late November.
Despite reports that the city’s Department of Child and Family Services is investigating allegations of child abuse by Spears, no one from the DCFS was in the courtroom today. When Commissioner Scott M. Gordon asked if they should be expected, Wasser said, "I spoke to [DCFS attorneys] Paul Harris and Doug Hunter, who both said they are not going to pursue anything on this." Later, she told Usmagazine.com, “I don't think they [the DCFS] had anything to appear about."
On Wasser’s explanation of today’s DCFS no-show, Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told Us at a post-hearing press conference, “I don't know if that's true and I don't know if that's untrue. I think the best person to talk about that is DCFS.”
Wasser asked the court for a continuance on the case on August 27, citing an insufficient amount of time for discovery. At the time, Kaplan rebutted that it was simply Wasser's vacation schedule that prevented the case from going forward as planned. He also asked that Spears, being the "monied party," pay for Federline's legal costs.

K=Fed's laywer is awesome, only in America could a gold digger ask for the woman whose kids he's trying to take to pay the legal costs incured. Don't forget, he also needs $5 million for a nanny so he can party fulltime after taking the kids away because she leaves them with a nanny sometimes, $18 million for a bigger house now that he's got the kids and nannies living with him, $4 million for the extra grocery bill, $2,000 for the loss of income with his pizza delivery job since he won't be working and will be dumping the kids full time on the nanny, it could really add up here. Oh, and 20 million for shar to get on the stand and say, "uh, yeah, he saw the kids only once a year but he's an amazing dad. He really cares, or at least he did once he had kids with a rich woman--Kaplan, can you get us both a couple mill extra for this?"

As a mother of 3 kids with my first two born 13 months apart when I was 24 & 25 with a husband in the Navy I don't know how she has time to parent and party. I wish I had that at her age. Everytime was only a hit because she faked her death in the video. Then My Prerogative died. Do Something DID NOTHING! Her new single, or the 20 seconds we heard, IS EQUALLY BAD! Her voice is gone (thanks to her cancer stick and abusive cocaine and alcohol addictions). She is in trouble and we hope she DIES before she comes back! Death to Britney and death to pop scum!

What about rebuilding their homes and strengthening the levee which broke and led to the flooding? These are the real problems, which I KNOW Brangelina can afford and have power to do! They would address the aforementioned things if they really cared about charity! How about rebuilding Charity Hospital for the low-income community? Oprah Winfrey put her money where her mouth was and built an entire school to send underpriveleged young girls, some of which were raped, starved, abused, and forced to sleep on dirt floors. Oprah's vision was to send these girls to school to get an education, which would ultimately lead to a better quality of life. This I really admire about her.
