Brit Goes Clubbing the Night Before Rehearsals

With her VMA comeback performance just days away, how does Britney Spears take the edge off? Clubbing, of course!

The night before she was expected in Las Vegas to rehearse her single “Gimme More” with illusionist Criss Angel, the perennial party girl, 25, hit up L.A. club Opera.

Accompanied by her cousin Alli Sims, Spears — clad in a cream fedora, gray mini-dress with stockings, knee-high boots and long pearl necklaces — settled into a corner booth around 12:32 a.m. (Her wig of choice? A blonde, shoulder-length number.)

“Britney was in a great mood all night, smiling, laughing, upbeat,” a witness says, who adds that Spears also smoked a few cigarettes and danced to Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”

“She was really getting into the songs,” the onlooker says.

Apparently, she worked up a thirst: “Britney drank beer, vodka cranberry and vodka tonic,” says the witness.

Sucking a lollypop, Spears left hand-in-hand with Sims at 1:45 a.m.

Alas, the two called it a night after hitting a Wendy's drive-thru around 2:20 a.m.

i honestly dont understand how i parent that loves their kids as much as she says she does can just leave them so she can go clubing i mean honestly if you have rehearsals the next day obviously you wanna make sure you are prepared and you wanna nail everything. but im guessing she isnt taking her career as a mother and as a performer seriously. i hope she gets her life in check before she loses both her careers.

The only real comment I've got to make about all this. Is that if you've got kids what in the world would make you want to go out clubbing all the time. I would think you should be more intelligent to stay home with them. Her kids don't even know who she is. Everytime you turn around someone's got them that's not her. She needs to learn how to be a home body. If she can't do that then she should of never had her kids. And if she wants to keep clubbing then she needs to go ahead and sign over her kids now to their daddy or to DFAX. Then they will be taking care of no matter what their parents are doing.

Wicked - I agree. I think she needs to be put in a medical facility where doctors can work on her..whether it's for drug addiction, a severe mental disorder, white trash"itis," whatever! It's sad to see her and so many other Hollywood starlets taking the route of Anna Nicole.
