Way back, Kids where having kids of their own when they were 12, some starting at 8, it was not uncommon then, but now it is like the world is going to end it a kid has a kid at 16. I say there is no big deal. Smell the coffee if you think there is.

I seriously thought jamie lynn spears was gonna learn from her sisters actions but instead she is reliving them worse!!!!!! i serioulsy didnt think jamie would do that. her childhood is practically OVER NOW!!!! i wish she would have been more careful and for those of you who dont know nickolodean got rid of her contract and why do you think that movie is coming out where she is leaving???? becuz pretty soon she is gonna look pregnant and thats just not a very good rolemodel is it?
the only good thing about this is that she is taking her responsibilities seriously and i dont know if she will be a good mom but i hope she does turn out better than her sister and i hope her family can have a good life.

Instead of having her kids in church on Sundays and at parties and movie sets Saturday nights, maybe Lynn Spears should have taken some time to go over birth control and responsibility with her children. Something is not right in that family. Sure, plenty of people are sexually active at 16 but they use sense and use birth control. And the pill with a condom is pretty damn infallible if used correctly.

I hear that the boyfriend is a live in, and if that's true, I blame Jamie's mother. Who let's their sixteen year old daughter shack up with their nineteen year old boyfriend? My boyfriend was allowed to stay until ten p.m., and not a minute later.
Ms. Spears had to know her daughter was gettin her freak on. I guess since Jamie was bringing home the bacon, she ran the show.
I won't lie and say I wasn't having sex at sixteen, but it definitely wasn't in our parents home. I was on the pill, rhythm and pull out methods and my boyfriend wore condoms. I don't think terming the pregnancy is wise, we all know it's not the baby's fault.

sooo many women, including myself, have been having sex since 16 or even younger... the only difference is she got pregnant...

If you truly do not want to get pregnant you should use every method possible. Take the pill, use a condom, and make the guy have to pull out and not ejaculate inside of you. If you use all 3 you wouldnt have to worry about pregnancy. The chances of pre-ejaculation, which is minimal, getting through that condom and past that birth control is so minute. People are too lazy to take extra precautions. You cant rely on one method alone and act all surprised if you get pregnant.

I give her credit for having that baby....There are a ton of girls out there that wouldn't take responsibility for something like that, especially at that age. Yes, she is young, but I'm sure she will be a better role model and mother than her sister. At least she is stepping up to the plate. Congrats to her. People need to quit calling pregnant people and their unborn babies names, grow up, at least 90% of the population has had sex before marriage, they just didn't get pregnant. They aren't bleeps and those babies are SURE AS HECK not bastards, like people are calling them. GROW UP.

Obviously this is a very unfortunate thing but I can't call Jamie Lynn too trashy because when I was in high school practically everyone I knew was having sex by the time they were 16. (Not me, but still). People look at being pregnant as so much worse but really it's just the manifestation of having sex which is what a lot of people are doing anyway. It doesn't make her any WORSE than the people having sex, she just ended up making it obvious she is. I know people who've gotten pregnant even with birth control and even with a condom, so it's not to say she wasn't using protection. I do commend her however for keeping it. Many high schoolers (especially famous ones with careers and people to keep it under wraps) would abort and it's really wonderful that she didn't.

I didn't say it wasn't an option, but she knew what she was doing. She knew she was 16 having sex, she knew that if she wasn't fully protected she could get pregnant. She made her bed and now she has to lay in it. Abortion isn't something you choose as a quick fix. It's a decision you must think about just as much as you would think about keeping the child or giving it up for adoption.
