I am trying to reach brittany. I too suffer from mental illness and know how hard it is. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who can understand your secret world. All I am trying to do is find brittany just to say I will be her friend and we could show the world how mental illness can devistate your life and take everything from you. I know she is basically the most famous person in the world but I want to try to reach out and maybe by some chance I can somehow get to talk to her. I have no other intentions than offering my friendship and understanding hoping I could find a friend that understands too. People that are not informed of mental illness can never understand the aloneness and scary dark places it can take you. It is real and there is no cure, I just am setting out to try to find others who experience the agony of this disease and maybe we could at least help each other.

Ever read the life stories of famous actresses who went down the same road or a close path? Without the screen, without the crowds? Life is not worth living. Watch American Experience running right now on PBS about "America's Sweetheart". Had a huge intellect, played 12 year olds on the screen when she was almost 30. by 40 washed up and in seclusion for the rest of her life. Had visitors to her home and only talked to them on the phone so they wouldn't see her age.

Vanity thy name is human.

Mother, pregnant sister, father, boyfriends, husbands, pals, fans... all want to watch train wrecks in the making. She can't leave it. It's the only persona she has.

if just one of those people who purport to love her wanted to help her? they would hold up a mirror and show her she is just a young woman with a lot of money whose career appears to be over and help her make a life outside of the fantasy.

From Mouseketeer to Meltdown those who guide her and help her stay in the cloud? Forgot there was a little girl inside with dreams.

And the dancer who holds her children? Another fool who likes the fantasy.

Maybe she will live long enough for her children to grow up and ask her why all of this was more important than them. And I hope she has a huge story ready for them.

For once, I wish the media would get a clue and stop misinforming the public about mental illness. The idea that treating it is just a matter of staying on meds is erroneous. Although meds help some, some of the time, they do not cure people at all. Many get partial or no relief. I am not qualified to diagnose her, but she may have developed manic depression after childbirth. That is what happened to me, 25 years ago. In spite of psychiatric care and meds life has been rocky and I reired disabled at 55.
Mental illness scares people and many even deny its existance. Correct, informative media coverage would be good.

Oh..I just realised something! Most of the people posting on here have never been to the L.A. area. Britney doesn't live in Hollywood. L.A. is huge and there are many areas of it. Hardly any pictures are taken of her in Hollywood itself.....because Hollywood itself is GROSS! LOL! Most of the pictures are right in her own neighborhood and

People are so sick to wish her dead. We need to be more positive and supportive. Everyone has recieved a large chunk of money and spent it foolishly before. We would all agree that money gives you an invincible feeling....(until its gone).......and we need to stop holding it against her that she has money. I give her credit for taking a stand against her own family and ending financial support to them. Doesn't this explain why the mom was totally open to selling Jamie Lynn's pregnancy news to a magazine for 1 million? Otherwise she was gonna have to get a real job like Britney's dad did...LOL!!!

Also, she blocked out her family for awhile...kinda smart because they were sucking her dry also and her mom's advice probably centered around an end result of a possibility of more money toward her own pocket.

So, obviously Britney's gut instinct is telling her some smart things....she just needs to get more sure in her own decisions, and stop letting everyone else try to run her life!

So, we need to help Britney to become a tough old bird- the one who nods her head and pretends to be listening but as soon as their back is turned, knows that that person is full of crap and is a highly self-trained sweet talker out for whatever goodies they have up their sleeve.
