Seeking to revive her career, Britney Spears met with her former manager, Larry Rudolph, last week, Usmagazine.com has learned.
"Britney wants to get back to work," a friend of the Spears family tells Us. "People close to Britney know that Larry is the best person for her. He's the man who can get her back on the right track career-wise."
The two — who stopped talking last year after Spears blamed him for forcing her into rehab — had a "mostly personal meeting," the source adds. "They had a normal conversation, and it was very friendly and warm. There was no animosity."
Says the source, "Larry just wanted to see her. He is still extremely close to the family and really cares about her and wanted to spend some time with her."
Rudolph, who is credited for discovering Spears, managed her career for 9 years.
He was subpoenaed in Spears' custody battle in August 2007.
"I know and understand Britney better than anyone, I know what makes her tick, and I understand everything she's going through," he said at the time. "With that being said, my loyalty will always stay strong with Britney."

Stan, Kyle and Cartman wanted to take a pic of Brit defecating on Butters dressed as a squirrel (after seeing her urinate on a ladybug) but instead she shoots her head off with a shotgun and Cartman and Butters (dressed as a squirrel) ran off horrified. Stan and Kyle felt bad for driving Brit to kill herself but she survived without half of her head and then sounded like Chewbacca. The boys tried to save her but the townsfolk and the Osama manager decide to kill her by flash photography much to Stan and Kyle's dismay (parodying The Lottery). When the people wanted her dead, they sang in Satanic chants ala the 1976 movie The Omen. If I were her doctors, I'd advise her to leave the entertainment business and move to say either Colorado or South Dakota and take up say training and riding horses (those pairs of brown cowboy boots of hers would work for that perfectly) or skiing or whatever. The girl made her millions and she should just accept that her career is OVER!

My grandparent recently passed away, and wanted to say I've learned we need to spread love on this Earth and not hate. i'm not religious, but I think we need to take a step back and realize the cruel things we say to people on a daily basis- to eachother, family, friends, even celebrities who go through bad times like Britney. Why do we do it? let's spread love, it will make us feel better and make our world a lot more hospital to live in. i think it's funny how people make such a big deal about helping kids in Africa, yet we can't even reach out to friends and people around us going through a rough time. Let's stop the shady banter and give this girl Britney love. She wants to get better and let's get her there. She is a symbol of a new beginning, and I hope she does things right this time around. Bring back that sweet girl we knew. to the person insulting her for drug use, that is in HER PAST. let her at least have a future, at least for her beautiful children. this epiphany came recently and to anyone else suffering from a loss or going through a rough time, I hope someone can reach out to you and give you a big hug. That's all this earth really needs.

I have always enjoyed Britney's music and still do to this day "gimme more" is a great song. I will be glad when she gets her 50/50 custody back "that will be soon", Kevin is a pig and his day is coming soon, his days of sitting around and smoking blunts are going to come back and haunt him.

she didn't do drugs back then. back then when she was at super stardom, her career was her life - dancing, singing, & performing. it was after she met Kevin Federline that she started drinking and doing drugs. and that's the path it took her down. but it's obvious she's getting back on track now. HE didn't make her millions - she did it herself. he was just a helping hand. she has immense talents, and if you haven't seen the old her then you wouldn't know it. YOUR soul is down the toilet..

her career is over? wow, really? then why is it that her new songs are topping the charts ALL OVER the world? maybe it's YOU who needs credibility. unoriginal? sweetheart, SHE was the main driving force behind the late 90's revival of teen pop music. huge influence on music back then. educate yourself before opening your yap trap. write her own songs? she already does, idiot. one of the songs she wrote a few years back was a huge hit, "Everytime". and she plays intruments - the piano. and she was a huge entertainer - arguably the best.
