Britney Spears was ordered to pay her father Jamie, her co-conservator, $2,500 in weekly compensation. A court also authorized him to lease a car.
The payment details were included in court documents released Thursday but signed on Wednesday.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz also ordered the pop singer, 26, to pay Samuel D. Ingham III, her court-appointed attorney, a fee of $58,800.
In addition, Goetz authorized the pop star's psychiatrist to hire two other doctors and pay them retainers totaling $9,000.
Jamie's co-conservatorship, which was set to expire March 10, was recently extended until July 31.
Jamie, a caterer, and attorney Andrew Wallet were put in control of the pop singer's finances and estate in February after she was hospitalized twice.

I think the whole thing with Britney Spears is someday going to backfire on her family and closest friends when they find her dead in her own house. I think her parents contributed to her own mental illness and now they are reaping the benefits of it all....it's just sick how greedy our society is and to think that these are her own parents? Britney worked very hard to get where she is now....I do have to admit that part of it is her fault for letting white trash in her life...Britney I really don't like your music, but I have to say that I am really worried about where your life is headed....Don't wind up like Anna Nicole...take charge of your life, be strong, and start looking out for YOUR OWN self-interests...

This is just another way for her Dad to make a pretty penny off of her - the money she earned, not him! Yes, With out a dought!! Sure he is her dad and probbly would do it without payment, but I'm sure it is a costly job.
After all she got herself into it and at her age why should her dad pay for it. Not to mention he is doing a great job at it, at way less cost than those so called pros.

Everyone knows that her parents have always been about the money that Britney and her sister have made. Yes, Brit has made many mistakes over the last few years! So have I, and every other person in the world! One big difference between Britney and a "child" pushing her child in a stroller that I saw just last night (30 degrees out) with no hat or mittens is Britney's a "star". One big common fact about them both is that there inability to be what society considers a "good" parent comes from growing up with parents with the inability or care to do whats right for the children. No matter what Britney does in her personal life, that is never missed by anyone, she is a performer and a good one at that. So the next time you sit at your friends house and bash on Britney just before you put your visor on to go ask the next customer " would you like fry's with that?" she has done more with her life in the first 15 years that you will do in a life time!!!! Stay strong Britney you will find your way!

She should be paying him and pay him more. If you are ever in that situation where you have to go into a conservatorship for someone, you wouldn't do it for $2500 a week. To have to go to court, file papers, and babysit 24x7 and have no life of your own, you would quit in an hour. And just look how much the court and the court lawyer are getting instead , then you'll see what a charity service her father is actually doing.

Any conservatorship is paid a percentage of the gross income of the individual for whom they are conservator. Most of these individuals earn between 3-10% of this gross. Mr. Spears is earning approximately 1.28% of Britney's gross income, estimated and/or reported to be $785,000 per month. Therefore, she is getting by quite cheaply paying a mere $10K per month. If he is paid as a contractor, i.e., no social security, medicare or other taxes are paid on his behalf. These taxes will be deducted from his gross. An outside third-party conservator, i.e, attorney or accountant, would be taking home about $20-30,000 per month.

Its a shame even her parents are getting in on the act. For two people to say they want the best for her, they sure don't show it. In normal circumstances a conservator would be paid for services, but that is in cases where a stranger has been appointed by the court. I can not believe her father feels he has the right to expect payment for doing what should be happening naturally. He is her father right? He should want to help her right? Look out Jamie-Lynn, your parents will probably charge you for babysitting services and taxi fares for taking you to the doctor!

I am also Bipolar and understand just what Brittney is going through. Everyone says that she needs to grow up, but mentally, she can't. Not untill she is on the right medication and therapy will brittney be able to become a responsible adult.I had parents that were there for me when times got tough and ensured that fact that I didn't lose my kids, even though we are not millionares!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brittney needs people around her that understand her condition and will be supportive, not backstabbers and money grubbers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then when she blew her fortune on all the idiotic things she spends money on, she would at least have that to fall back on which is better than nothing. I think it is disgusting that the courts ordered Brittany to pay her dad.. Lordy my boys are 27 and 30 and we still help them out when they need it. A parents responsibility is to always be there for their children, I didn't know it had changed. I can't imagine my children paying us to do any of the things we help them out with. Just because Brittany has money does not mean she should have to pay her own father to help her. Well if I hadn't had a great great relationship with my father before that, then after it was over I would have Nothing to do with him again. And yes,, if he had been doing his job as a parent all along, Brittany would not be in the position she is in now, because she would have been raised with the proper values and work ethic. Also I like Brittany, and maybe if the media would leave her alone, she might have a better chance at regaining her success.

It is a shame that Brittany has to pay her father that amount of money. Maybe if Jamie and Lynn would have been proper parents when she was growing up she would not be in the position that she is in. They are the ones that allowed her to live alone in L.A. when she was just a teenager. Now the only one that they seemed to be focused on is Jamie Lynn because she is the youngest get over it and I would hope as a father that he would not take that money from her. He should be ashamed of himself he says that he loves his daughter but would take advantage of his own flesh and blood and still hang out with her ex. Where in the hell does loyality stand when it comes to your child. Brit's parents are just a bunch of gold diggers and they are just using her as she was the bread winner in that family for so many years.

If he's any kind of father he will set up a private account and return that money to her when she's better mentally. I have to say, I am a HUGE supporter of Britt. Of course he should get paid. He's giving up his successful job as a chef to take care of this 26-year old mentally disturbed woman, which is a job in and of itself.
