I cannot see why she has to pay her Dad $2500 a week to keep an eye on her finances! REDICULOUS!!! I keep an eye on my Mom's finances for NOTHING! This is what you call LOVE!!! This is just another way for her Dad to make a pretty penny off of her - the money she earned, not him! Everyone knows that her parents have always been about the money that Britney and her sister have made. Yes, Brit has made many mistakes over the last few years! So have I, and every other person in the world! One big difference between Britney and a "child" pushing her child in a stroller that I saw just last night (30 degrees out) with no hat or mittens is Britney's a "star". One big common fact about them both is that there inability to be what society considers a "good" parent comes from growing up with parents with the inability or care to do whats right for the children. No matter what Britney does in her personal life, that is never missed by anyone, she is a performer and a good one at that. So the next time you sit at your friends house and bash on Britney just before you put your visor on to go ask the next customer " would you like fry's with that?" she has done more with her life in the first 15 years that you will do in a life time!!!! Mr. Spears is earning approximately 1.28% of Britney's gross income, estimated and/or reported to be $785,000 per month. Therefore, she is getting by quite cheaply paying a mere $10K per month. If he is paid as a contractor, i.e., no social security, medicare or other taxes are paid on his behalf. These taxes will be deducted from his gross. An outside third-party conservator, i.e, attorney or accountant, would be taking home about $20-30,000 per month.

Its a shame even her parents are getting in on the act. For two people to say they want the best for her, they sure don't show it. In normal circumstances a conservator would be paid for services, but that is in cases where a stranger has been appointed by the court. I can not believe her father feels he has the right to expect payment for doing what should be happening naturally. He is her father right? He should want to help her right? Look out Jamie-Lynn, your parents will probably charge you for babysitting services and taxi fares for taking you to the doctor!

I think it is disgusting that the courts ordered Brittany to pay her dad.. Lordy my boys are 27 and 30 and we still help them out when they need it. A parents responsibility is to always be there for their children, I didn't know it had changed. I can't imagine my children paying us to do any of the things we help them out with. Just because Brittany has money does not mean she should have to pay her own father to help her. Well if I hadn't had a great great relationship with my father before that, then after it was over I would have Nothing to do with him again. And yes,, if he had been doing his job as a parent all along, Brittany would not be in the position she is in now, because she would have been raised with the proper values and work ethic. Also I like Brittany, and maybe if the media would leave her alone, she might have a better chance at regaining her success.

Of course he should get paid. He's giving up his successful job as a chef to take care of this 26-year old mentally disturbed woman, which is a job in and of itself. Yeah he's her father but she is not a child and "technically" he should not have to put his affairs/life on hold to take care of hers. Plus $2500 per week is not a lot of money in Britney's world.

Maybe Britney WANTS to pay her Dad. If I were rich like her, I would give money to my parents. Only an ungrateful daughter wouldn't.
