I really don't think that this is the parents fault. You can reprimand your child all you want but when it comes down to it, they're going to do what they think is right. Britney received fame and fortune at a very early age, as did her sister Jamie Lynn. All of that attention,paparazzi coverage, money, pressure etc. would put a damper on any young adult in Britney or Jamie's shoes. What kind of world do we live in where someone's live is constantly scrutinized and judged upon? Britney seems to have a psychological problem..one in which can be treated. For her sake and millions of others like her who suffer from a psychological disorder, we should all be hoping good things upon her-instead of failure.

is it just me or does it seem like her "mental illness" increased dramatically when her sister got pregnant and started getting the spotlight. think maybe just maybe she started doing even more drugs after that and that is what her problem is. good think sam is out of her life and hopefully stays out so her parents know she isnt doing illegal drugs.

The only thing those two hicks should blast is how they raised there two needy daughters! 16 year old knocked up and one that should be locked up. Congrats on your parenting skills. I just watched some of the Chaotic footage (on Youtube), and Britney's suggestion is to take valium and have sex. Even back then, Britney was a pill-popper. Rewatch Chaotic (if you can make it thru), and you will see that she was having problems even back then.

add to that statement... I just hope that ONE WAY or ANOTHER - her misery ends SOON.

Hmmmm, I'm inclined to believe a UCLA psychiatrist over Britney's parents.

Just because she's surrounded herself with bad influences and put herself in a terrible situation in her personal life does not mean she needs to continue to be involuntarily held and intensively treated around the clock in a psych. ward at one of the top hospitals in the country. Apparently her psychiatrists felt they've done what's medically necessary to treat Britney...now she needs to clean up her life.

Honestly leave the poor girl alone. I feel so bad for her. She apparently has issues and i believe it sparks from post partum depression she was basically pregnant for two years straight and probably never dealt with it and then got a divorce the poor girl is going through depression and difficult times. I mean come on she just found out her sixteen year old sister is pregnant. You can't tell me that didn't effect her. What she needs is to be surrounded by family and good influential people. I think it is good Sam Lufti is out of her life at the moment so she can catch a break and think for herself for once instead of being controlled and told this is what you need to do. You can't force a person to get help they have to decide on their own but i think she is starting to realize she does need help I think that the media scrutiny is helping her at all.
