O-kay, I think it is HORRIBLE what happened to Nick's friend John. I cringed when I read about it. But I also have to be honest. My husband and I both drive Mustang GT's with thousands of dollars worth of after-market goodies on them. We've both gotten in cars with other people and people in our cars on deserted roads late at night to race. Not one time have I asked someone to stop the car, nor someone asked us to do the same. You know as "racers" that is a risk you're taking. Should Nick pay? Yes, because that's a risk he also took, but he shouldn't be made out to be a monster. Who knows how many nights John was in the drivers seat of the car while Nick was a passenger? It's a risk you take. Sorry to offend, but it's my opinion as being a part of that crowd. Anyone who's around it will tell you the same thing. You play..you pay and that goes both ways.

You're a jerk. This kid needs no slack. He has caused a family great pain and suffering, not to mention the medical bills that will plague them for the rest of their lives. Regardless of what may or may not have been said in the car, he was driving and in control of his decisions. I hope he burns in hell.

I know I wasn't there, but I can bet he wasn't saying stop or slow down. He was the adult in the car right, he should have known better.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for him? He a dumb kid that thinks he's a NASCAR driver. Clearly, he wasn't -he about killed his friend. To make it even worse his Mom is banging one of his junior high friends. Yes, the whole family is a train wreck. They just want to be on TV ,pretty sad.
