Oh give me a break. This is a common sentiment that many parents have but because she's famous, every feels the right to chime in. Sorry, but she doesn't have to live her life through polls about what she should or shouldn't do. If she had another child and it was a girl, I'm sure she'd be just as happy. As for the postpartum, knowing in advance that this is something she's pre-disposed to is half the battle. It's more of a problem when the woman and her family don't have a clue what's going on and the woman is unwilling to get help for fear of being thought a terrible mother if she admits her true feelings. I don't recall her ever saying she didn't want or love her 2 daughters. My uncle and his wife had 2 girls and were hoping (not counting on) a boy for their 3rd child, and they ended up having another girl. They only wanted 3 kids, no more, and they don't have any regrets not trying any further for a boy. People can have their wishful thinking, but that doesn't mean if they don't get what they thought they wanted, they'll be disappointed. Brooke Shields probably said this in passing and didn't mean for it to become a story. My advice to any celebs is don't discuss your desire to have a family with the press because then you leave yourself open to criticism. Just go ahead and do what you're going to do.

Brooke Shields has two daughters, but she's ready for a son.
"I want a boy!" she said at the Prada Trembled Blossoms event in Beverly Hills Wednesday.
Standing in the way? Chris Henchy, her husband of six-years.
"I'm going to have to convince him and he's a hard sell at this point," the Lipstick Jungle star, 42, said while laughing. "Maybe he likes the even number!"
Shields is already mother to Rowan, 4, and Grier, 23 months.
