To anonymous 11:36pm, I am the Chrissy you're posting about and don't presume to know what my intentions in posting were. Why on Earth would I just post to talk about myself? I don't know any of you (actually I'm friends with a few of the people who post at US but that's beside the point) and I have no reason to want to talk about myself. I just was putting it in perspective. And for your information, the story about Cameron Diaz's dad passing really hit home for me as the men in my family on my dad's side have all died prematurely. So sorry if like a human being, I can empathize because it hits home a little bit, but it's not like I'm not sad or sorry for her or her family. It seems rather trite to post that kind of comment, a comment that detracts from the Diaz family's personal tragedy. If I had read an article about someone dying in a car accident, that would have struck home and I'd have probably commented on it. So, think whatever you want, it's a free world, but for the record, my prayers are with them and I feel nothing but empathy for them. As for mocking my poster name, I used to just go by Chrissy but someone who also posted as Chrissy in the past was posting rude/nasty things that people who know me and who post here thought I was writing. Most of these posts ended up getting removed from the site, but I decided to add something to my name that would differentiate my posts (hopefully) and I had just learned how to make various symbols from a computer course I was taking so I decided that I'd go that route. At least I don't post anonymously, making mountains out of molehills.

How devastating for her, my dad and I never got along, but ironically out of my Grandparents who raised me, I miss him the most.

My deepest condolences to the Diaz family. May Emilio rest in peace. I pray that the Lord gives his family and friends the strength to deal with this loss and that they know he is in a better place where he can watch down over them and protect them more than he could on Earth.

My deepest condolences are with Cameron Diaz and her family in this difficult time. How tragic to lose her father at such a relatively young age. My dad turned 58 today and he's already outlived his own father by a year, and the thought of losing him is too much to even consider. I'd be heartbroken, and I just hope that the press leaves Cameron and her family alone to grieve in private because they're all certainly heartbroken too. It's scary to think that something as seemingly mundane as the flu can devolve into a fatal illness. I realize this happens but still. I don't know, it just makes you think.
