Benicio Del Toro

Known for his ground-breaking performance in Traffic, Benicio Del Toro was born in 1967 in Puerto Rico. He became recognized in the 1980s playing mostly bad-boy characters on shows including Miami Vice and first gained critical acclaim for his breakout performance in The Usual Suspects.

He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his moving performance in 2000's Traffic, a film exploring North American drug wars.

Del Toro and Kimberly Stewart welcomed a daughter in August 2011.
