Born April 28, 1971, in Binghamton, N.Y., Moynahan received her first major role in 1999 as Natasha, a guest star on the hit HBO series Sex and the City. One year later, she landed her first breakout film role in Coyote Ugly, starring as tough-girl bartender Rachel. Since then, the actress has appeared in various films including Lord of War and Sum of All Fears. In 2006, she starred in ABC's short-lived series, Six Degrees.

Moynahan dated New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for three years but they split in December 2006. In February 2007, Moynahan confirmed that she was pregnant with Brady's child. She gave birth to John Edward Thomas Moynahan in August 2007.
