Cross-cultural dress: The formidable French fashion designer, who just marked a decade of living in New York, mixes “the casual feel of the New York streets with the craftsmanship of French couture. Style in a bottle: Malandrino teamed up with Cointreau to create a limited-edition (just 200) bottle of the liquor, out this October. The metallic tulle design, she says, “features the Statue of Liberty and a constellation of stars. I wanted to wrap the bottle using the same codes I use when dressing a woman -- lightness, transparency, and femininity.”
