Born on March 18, 1972, and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Mass., Cook is known for his lively stand-up routines. He got his start working at Burger King and his fame has catapulted him to be one of the most popular comedians of our time.
Cook's comedy albums have been particularly well-received: his 2003 debut, Harmful If Swallowed, has sold more than 450,000 copies to date, and its follow-up, Retaliation, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts, the highest rank for a comedian in over two decades. Cook appeared on the short-lived sitcom Maybe This Time and starred in the laugh-out-loud comedies Good Luck Chuck and Dan in Real Life.
The funnyman was briefly linked to Jessica Simpson when they filmed Employee of the Month in 2006.
