Edward Burns

Actor/writer/director Edward Burns was born in 1968 in Queens, N.Y. Jumping into the film industry after college as a production assistant on the Oliver Stone film The Doors, Burns has since directed several films including The Brothers McMullen, She’s The One, and Purple Violets.

He is also an acclaimed actor and, aside from appearing in his directorial projects, has worked on movies such as Saving Private Ryan and Life or Something Like It.

He has been married to supermodel Christy Turlington since 2003. The couple has two children together: A daughter, Grace, and a son, Finn.
