Elisabetta Canalis is a model and actress who is best known by American audiences for dating George Clooney.

Born on the Italian island of Sardinia on September 12, 1978, Canalis' career began at the age of 21 when she landed a role on the Italian TV show Striscia la Notizia. Playing a showgirl until 2002, Canalis quickly became a household name in Italy.

Canalis made her American TV debut in 2010 when she played a recurring character in season 3 of TNT's Leverage.

The brunette beauty and Clooney began dating in July 2009. Two years later, they issued a joint statement announcing their split.
