About

Evan Rachel Wood was born on September 7, 1987, in Raleigh, N. C. She shot to fame with her controversial role in 2003’s Thirteen, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.

Since then, Wood has exploded on the film scene, appearing in movies like Down In The Valley, The Upside of Anger, and a breakthrough performance in 2007’s Across the Universe. The actress has also made a name for herself through her appearances in music videos. Wood can be seen in the Bright Eyes video “At the Bottom of Everything” and Green Day‘s “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”

The young talent earned the distinction of being the highest paid music video actress when she starred in the video for Marilyn Manson‘s Heart-Shaped Glasses. 18-year-old Wood and 37-year-old Manson began dating after meeting during the 2007 video shoot. In April 2008, the couple revealed that they got matching tattoos to celebrate Valentine’s Day. She and Manson called it quits several times, finally breaking things off for good in August 2010. Wood later credibly accused Manson of rape and abuse, as did several other women.

Wood married actor Jamie Bell in October 2012, and the spouses welcomed a son in July 2013. The couple divorced in 2014, and Wood went on to date bandmate Zach Villa. Villa and Wood got engaged in January of 2017, but ended the engagement in September of that year.
