Born August 3, 1979, Evangeline Lilly is perhaps best known as Kate on ABC's Lost. The Canadian-born actress was originally discovered on the street by a Ford modeling agent, but she turned down the offer.

Years later she had a change of heart and signed with the agency to fund her college tuition. Similarly, the now Golden Globe-nominated actress continued to use wages from extra acting gigs on the TV series' Tru Calling and Smallville to continue her education at the University of British Columbia.

Previously engaged to Lost costar Dominic Monaghan, the two dated on and off from 2004-2009. Lilly is currently pregnant with boyfriend Norman Kali's child.
