BIO

Culinary expert Gail Simmons has lent her skills to Bravo's Top Chef: Washington D.C. and Top Chef Masters, where she has been a judge of the contestants' creations. In August 2010, Simmons switched gears when she was announced as host of Bravo's Top Chef: Just Desserts. When Simmons isn't appearing on Bravo or guesting on The Today Show and the CBS Early Show, she acts as the liaison between the marketing and editorial teams at FOOD & WINE magazine.

Simmons graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and went on to train at Le Cirque 2000 and Vong. The chef has worked for Vogue's food critic Jeffery Steingarten. During her career, Simmons has contributed to several cookbooks, including It Must've Been Something I Ate by Jeffrey Steingarten, and The New American Chef by Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page.

She and her husband Jeremy currently live in New York City.
