BIO
The former Broadway songstress who played Maureen in Rent and Elphaba in Wicked is now a singer and actress who most recently appeared on Glee as Vocal Adrenaline coach Shelby Corcoran.
The Tony-award winning Queens. N.Y. native made her Broadway debut in 1996 as part of the original cast of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent. Since then she's had roles in The Wild Party, Hair, Aida, The Vagina Monologues, the film Enchanted, and ABC's Private Practice.
In 2003, Menzel married her Rent costar Taye Diggs after they'd been dating for seven years. In 2009, the couple welcomed their first child, son Walker Nathaniel Diggs, into the world.
