James Franco

James Franco earned his big break as Daniel Desario on the NBC series Freaks and Geeks. He made his film debut in 1999’s Never Been Kissed alongside Drew Barrymore and Jessica Alba and won his first Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of the title character in the 2001 biographical film James Dean. Franco also starred in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy (2002 to 2007), Pineapple Express (2008), Spring Breakers (2012), 127 Hours (2010) and The Disaster Artist (2017), which earned him another Golden Globe Award.

Franco took a break from acting in 2018 when five of his previous students from his now-closed film and acting school, Studio 4, accused him of inappropriate or sexually exploitative behavior. A lawsuit was filed against him in 2019 and settled for an undisclosed amount two years later. Franco later revealed that he entered treatment for sex addiction in 2016.

Franco has been dating model Izabel Pakzad since 2017. The couple made their red carpet debut at the Broadway opening of Straight White Men six months after Franco was accused of sexual misconduct.
