Born Oct. 5, 1983 in Queens, New York, Jesse Eisenberg grew up in a New Jersey suburb. His parents immigrated to the United States from Poland and Eisenburg himself speaks fluent Polish.
His passion for acting came early while performing in school plays. New York University accepted Eisenberg, but he decided to take a role in the film Roger Dodger despite his father's wishes for him to attend college.
In the next few years, Eisenberg starred opposite some big names like Kevin Kline, Jeff Daniels and Richard Gere. He then took on leading roles in The Education of Charlie Banks and Adventureland.
During the 2011 awards seasons, Eisenberg received heaps of critical praise and nominations for his depiction of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerburg in The Social Network. While promoting the movie on Saturday Night Live, Eisenberg came face to face with the billionaire social-networking genius during his monologue.
