Jillian Harris
Before starting her own search for love on The Bachelorette, the Vancouver-based restaurant designer first tried to win Jason Mesnick‘s heart on ABC’s The Bachelor, in the spring of 2009.
Harris, who came in third place behind Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney at the conclusion of the series, finally found love on the show’s spin-off with software consultant Ed Swiderski. The pair’s relationship has been rocky, however. Although Swiderski presented Harris with a 3-carat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring on the show’s summer 2009 finale, Us later reported he dated two women while pursuing Harris on the show.
In the months since, Harris dismissed her fiance’s infidelity as “nonsense” and continued to stand by his side. In June 2010, after a year of sticking by the hard-partying Swiderski, a fed up Harris moved out of the Chicago apartment they shared. According to the Bachelor contract, any couple who split within two years must return the gifted bling they received as part of the show.
