Kate Beckinsale was born July 26, 1973 in London, England, and came from a show business background. Her father, Richard Beckinsale, was a well-known television actor. She attended Oxford University, and got her first big acting break in 1991's Much Ado About Nothing.

Since then, she's starred in several feature films, including Underworld, The Aviator and Van Helsing. The bombshell has also been on FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" as well as Maxim's Hot 100.

Beckinsale has a daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, born in January 1999, with ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen. She married director Len Wiseman in 2004.
