Kerry Diamond Biography
Pocket pal: The born-and-bred New Yorker, vice-president of publicity for Lancome, sums up her style in an original way: Dresses with pockets, she says. "From first grade to senior year in high school, I wore uniforms, so I never really learned to do the casual thing and I always feel weird when I wear jeans. I love dresses. It makes it nice and simple.”
Favorite wardrobe items: Black leather Chanel 2.55 bag (“just really simple, with the chain. I will probably be carrying that well into my golden years”), Repetto ballet flats (“in black and red patent leather”) and a Rick Owens black leather jacket (“He’s one of those designers. You won’t see it everywhere and you can keep it in your wardrobe for decades.”).
Curl cues: “I have naturally curly hair that I have fought with my whole life, and I finally sort of understood what to do with it,” says the former beauty editor, who credits Tommy and Marie at the Sally Hershberger salon on 14th Street. “It only took, you know, four decades, but yeah, curly hair that I usually wear curly.”
High hopes: “It’s always a dress and a heel for work. I’m five-ten, but I still love high heels! And my waist is the tiniest thing about me, so I like to wear belts. Definitely a big fan of belts.”
