Mira Sorvino
BIO
The daughter of actor Paul Sorvino, Jersey girl Mira Sorvino is best known for projects including Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion and Quiz Show.
Sorvino graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 1989 with a B.A. in Chinese, but ditched her post-collegiate plans to enter the industry that had surrounded her from an early age.
She went on to accept roles in films like 1996's Norma Jean and Marilyn. However, it was 1997's Romy and Michele's High School Reunion that cemented Sorvino into pop culture as the charmingly ditzy Romy.
She won an Oscar for her role in 1995's Mighty Aphrodite.
Sorvino has been linked to director Quentin Tarantino and Olivier Martinez.
She's been married to husband Chris Backus since 2004, and the couple have three children, Mattea Angel, born in 2004, Johnny, born in 2006, and Holden, born in 2009.
