Born August 27, 1983, Roberto Martinez captured national attention when he won Ali Fedotowsky's heart on the sixth season of ABC's The Bachelorette. The minor-league baseball player-turned-insurance agent caught the former Facebook employee's attention during the first night with a sexy salsa dance that earned him the first impression rose. The pair had their first one-on-one date shortly after and Martinez seemed to be the stand-out guy from there on out.
After retiring from minor league baseball (he even played for the North Adams SteepleCats, just one town away from Fedotowsky's native Williamstown, Massachusetts), the University of Tampa pitcher found work as a State Farm agent in Charleston, South Carolina.
Martinez proposed to a smitten Fedotowsky in Bora Bora, Tahiti in May 2010 -- with a three-carat Neil Lane sparkler -- then transferred his business from South Carolina to San Diego. After the finale aired in August 2010, the twosome moved into an apartment together in the Southern California city. They plan to wed in 2011.
