BIO
Born July 24, 1979, Rose Byrne started acting at the young age of eight in local theater in her native Australia. By the age of 20, she had a film and short-lived TV series under her belt and was starring in Two Hands with fellow Aussie Heath Ledger. She made the move to American films in 2002 when she landed a small part as Queen Padme's handmaiden in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.
Her next American film appearance was in 2004's Troy, where Byrne shared an on-screen romance with Brad Pitt. Later that year she went on to star in Wicker Park alongside her Troy costar Diane Kruger. In 2007 Byrne entered the American TV market with a role as a young attorney in TV's legal drama Damages. The re-occuring role earned her two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a series.
In 2010 Byrne worked with Judd Apatow on Get Him to the Greek. That same year, Byrne split with her boyfriend of six years, Australian actor Brendan Cowell.
