Simon Doonan

BIO

British born Simon Doonan has been the creative director for luxury national retailer Barneys since 1986.

He is known for creating "out-there" window displays --namely his 1989 depiction of lumpy caricatures of Madonna, Margaret Thatcher, and other celebrities -- as well as being the author of four books. One of Doonan's early career highlights was designing the 1984 set of Beverly Hills Cop.

In 2008, Doonan, who has offered commentary on America's Next Top Model and VH1's "I Love" series, married his partner of 15 years, Jonathan Adler, in San Francisco.
