Local lookers: Whether you love them or love to hate them, Alex McCord, Bethenny Frankel, Jill Zaren, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are true locavores of real New York style.

Fashion friction: “Kelly loves herself a good ruffle or something bohemian and flowy and gladiator sandals, Birkinstocks," Frankel says. "I don’t like that Little House on the Prairie look. That very much suits her and her cartwheels are free spirit. To each his own.”

Risk-taker: “Alex is one of the best, because she takes fashion risks," Bensimon says. "The other Housewives tend to stick to one look. A woman needs to be a chameleon and celebrate being a woman.”

A leg up: “I like to emphasize my legs," Lesseps says. "They are very long. But I think that after a certain age, one has to watch her hemlines. You don’t want to be the mother at the graduation in the micro-mimiskirt!”
