Focus on her hair! Ariana Grande sometimes gets flak for wearing the same hairstyle over and over — her half-up pony — but at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, she debuted not one, but two new styles and looked stunning in both.

Grande, 22, started off the night with a performance, during which she let down her hair completely. For the “Problem” singer’s live rendition of her latest release, “Focus,” she took the stage in a sparkly ’20s-inspired number and wore her hair loose in spiral curls, parted in the center, and secured with barrettes on each side.
After her performance, she sat in the audience with her grandma, “Nonna,” modeling a statement-making fishtail-braid-accented bun. The hairstyle switcheroo took place in a matter of minutes.
Grateful for the quick change, Grande took to Instagram to thank her hairstylist, Dalina Rebollo. “From a huge finger wave to a fishtail/topknot thing in 15 mins,” she wrote. “Only you @dalinaway. thank you for making me feel pretty.”
