She’s just being blunt! Bella Hadid debuted straight-across bangs in an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, June 8.
The Dior Beauty ambassador, 19, went edgy with a blunt cut that frames her eyebrows. She previously had long layers (read: no fringe) and experimented with a side-swept style during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
“Bangin’ @lenakoro ❤️,” she captioned the clip, which featured a GIF of her posing in a robe, showing off the new ‘do with celebrity hairstylist Lena Koro.
Though the fringe looked softer in her video because of her romantic updo, Hadid showed off the hairstyle’s true colors later that night. As she took to the streets of NYC, she wore her hair (and bangs!) down, completing her bold outfit of a Moschino sweatshirt dress with thigh-high boots.
Hadid isn’t the only star to opt for bangs recently. Selena Gomez, who also went lighter just a few days earlier, showed off face-framing fringe on the same day. Her celeb stylist Marissa Marino even used the same caption as Hadid. “Bangin @pantene @makeupbymelissam #revivaltour,” she wrote.
Gomez, 23, shared her own video of her hair makeover as well, from Coca-Cola headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the vid, the Disney alum dances to Lil Wayne and shakes her enviable locks around, saying, “No big deal, just in the Coke offices!”
