Beyonce's stunning solution to dealing with the heat and humidity in Havana, Cuba: Braids! The 31-year-old "Grown Woman" singer was on the Caribbean island nation with husband Jay-Z to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary on Thursday, April 4.
Beyonce and Jay-Z, 43, went sightseeing through colonial Old Havana, taking in the sights as they walked hand-in-hand. Beyonce wore her hair in braids, done up in a sexy bun, and wore a bright yellow animal-print top, with her hip-hop mogul (and budding sports agent) wearing a blue polo and fedora. Predictably, the supercouple inspired a bit of chaos in the streets, with local police providing extra protection.
Despite that chaos, Beyonce took time to pose with local school children, and Jay-Z sampled a famed Cuban cigar. One night before, the twosome dined at eatery La Guarida with their mothers Tina Knowles and Gloria Carter, noshing on fish, chicken, black beans and rice, all Cuban creole staples.
The Grammy-winning songstress, whose world tour kicks off April 15, also chose Thursday to debut an eye-catching new Pepsi ad, "Mirrors," in which she does battle with former video iterations of herself and debuts snippets of a new single, "Grown Woman." The duo's daughter Blue Ivy, 15 months, was not spotted during the Cuban trip.
