There must be "Something in the Water!" In addition to Kate Middleton's and Emma Watson's hair makeovers, Carrie Underwood has been added to the club of A-listers who've taken the scissors to their precious locks. Underwood snipped away her tresses in favor of a fresh, modern lob hairstyle on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
The Storyteller singer, 32, has been going shorter little by little since co-hosting the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley on Nov. 4, when her blonde locks fell to her chest. Then, at a charity concert for St. Jude in Nashville on Dec. 7, the country crooner showed off a clavicle-length cut.
But, in a new selfie shared to Instagram on Dec. 8, it's clear that Underwood has taken off even more inches for her shoulder-skimming 'do. "Backstage @opry selfie!" the mom to Isaiah, 9 months, wrote along with the hair debut snap. "I love being at the Ryman! There's just something so special about this place…"
In the pic, Underwood displayed her new length of bedhead-styled tresses in soft, big waves, parted on the side.
Underwood's Nashville-based hairstylist, Melissa Schleicher, also posted the look to her Instagram, saying, "Gave @carrieunderwood fresh new cut !!!"
