So it couldn’t be more fitting that the “Heart Attack” singer, 22, has been tapped as cosmetics and nail polish brand N.Y.C. New York Color’s first Global Brand Ambassador.
“Demi’s youthful, modern sensibility, audacious style and wide-reaching appeal make her the perfect choice to represent N.Y.C. Vamp it up! The “Skyscraper” songstress vamped it up big time at the Latin Grammy Awards in November 2011. She curled her long waves, crimson at the time, into a lush, pin-up-inspired ‘do, then added cranberry lips to match her burgundy dress. (And that wasn’t her only bold move that night: She reportedly wore her dress backwards, the better to flaunt that figure!)
Retro Bombshell
As a judge on The X Factor, Lovato had to create a bold look for every new episode, and this one from November 2012 comes in right at the top (top of the page)! The dark-haired beauty sported retro waves and peony cheeks and lips, looking every bit the ‘50s movie queen. Still, she kept the look modern by adding a bold pop of mustard eyeshadow above her winged cat-eye liner.

Pushing the envelope on her second season of The X Factor in November 2013, Lovato took the stage in a choppy, cornflower blue bob punctuated by one very unexpected addition: a glitter-bombed section of hair right above her ear. In August 2014, at the MTV Video Music Awards, the pop star modeled head-to-toe red in a plunging, cherry dress and matching lips. An artfully-tousled half-updo showed off her boldest hair move to date: her half-shaven head—rocking out, always.
