The film Gone Girl may deal with some seriously dark topics, but Reese Witherspoon and Rosamund Pike were anything but at the New York Film Festival premiere on Friday, Sept. 26.

Below, find out how to copy their gorgeous makeup and hair looks straight from their glam teams.

Reese Witherspoon’s Sultry Red Carpet Makeup

Producer Witherspoon dazzled in a red Calvin Klein Collection dress with bronze sandals. Celebrity makeup artist, Mai Quynh, was inspired by the boldness of the outfit, to create a polished makeup look that would highlight her beautiful glow.

Quynh applied Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Liquid Foundation in Golden Medium to the star’s skin. Next, imperfections were hidden with Radiant Creamy Concealer from NARS in Custard around her eyes and nose. Then, she applied Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Cream Blush in Flirt to emphasize the apples of her checks. YSL Glossy Stain in #102 swiped on the lips completed Witherspoon’s sultry makeup look.

Celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora for L’Oreal Paris created Witherspoon’s old Hollywood hair in four steps. First, Campora parted Witherspoon’s wet hair to the side and applied L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blow Out HeatSpray to protect her blonde strands from heat styling, while using L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse to give her hair extra body before blowing dry with a round brush. The celeb stylist set Witherspoon’s hair with a 1-1/2 inch curling iron. As her hair cooled, he locked in the style with Control Hairspray.

Rosamund Pike’s Simple, Yet Luminous Red Carpet Makeup

Celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis was on hand to give the film’s star a glowing red carpet look that exuded elegance. “Rosamund is a timeless beauty and we wanted her makeup to reflect that,” Inglessis said. After her skin was cleansed and moisturized, Inglessis used a damp Beauty Blender to apply a mix of Tom Ford Traceless Foundation with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Eyes were brightened and highlighted with Cle de Peau Concealer. To create the actress’ flushed cheek color, Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush in Rose was applied to the apple of her cheeks. Inglessis smudged a cream shadow on the eye, and used a black kajal liner to her top lash line. For lips, Pike wore a light berry stain mixing with Votre Vu Dramatic Lip Liner in Spark with Chanel Glossimer for a “softly bitten” look.

Rosamund Pike’s Sleek Low Bun

The British actress’ look was slightly more edgy than subdued, highlighted by her new shaved undercut hairstyle. Celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath gave the actress a cool look to match her outfit.

Starting with damp hair, Pike’s hair was sprayed with Serge Normant Styling Spray from roots through the ends. Heath, created a center part and blew dry the hair Eco Croc Blow Dryer. She then sectioned off the front section and divided the rest of her hair into three horizontal sections that were placed into ponytails. The stylist twisted and pinned the little ponytails into mini messy buns with Burman Matte Mini Bobby Pins. The front section was combed back and smooth with a fine tooth comb. Leonor Greyl Light to Medium Hair Spray provided shine and hold for the sleek hairstyle.
