Like fine wine, Helen Mirren gets better with time!
The Oscar-winning actress may have wooed the public in a number of buzzworthy films, but her latest role is one she was born to play. The Hundred-Foot Journey star, 69, was appointed beauty ambassador for L’Oreal Paris UK. She joins fellow age-defying stars, Jane Fonda, 76, and Diane Keaton, 68, who also rep the brand.
Although many women freak out over wrinkles and going grey, Mirren has always embraced aging while promoting positive body image. In this new campaign, Mirren wants to inspire women to make the most of their natural beauty.
“I am not gorgeous. I never was, but I was okay-looking and I’m keen to stay that way,” she told Telegraph UK. “I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks.”
Mirren has always been an alluring beauty since she started her career during the late 1960s. The youthful British actress was known for sporting bright blonde locks and giving the camera a sultry glare.
The actress worked it in 1985 in a black peasant top with an edgy choker necklace at 40.
