The American Idol alum, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock, went casual in stretchy black pants, a black hat and shades while joining her hubby for lunch at a local Cracker Barrel. She kept her blonde locks in a loose, messy bun and appeared without makeup.

Clarkson, who is currently in her first trimester, announced the news of her pregnancy via Twitter on Nov. 19: "Brandon and I are so excited!" she wrote. "Best early Christmas present ever."

As Us Weekly previously reported, Clarkson hinted at wanting to have babies as soon as possible leading up to her Oct. 20 wedding to Blackstock. "More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them!" she gushed to Us last month. The "Stronger" crooner added, "We're really excited and want to get our family started."

Staying true to her hopes of getting pregnant quickly, the expectant singer shared more details with Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday, Nov. 26. "I don't know why they call it morning sickness. That's my big joke right now because it's all day and all night," she shared during her appearance on the Today show.

"I am super-excited about being pregnant, though," she added. "I'm just looking forward to the second trimester . . . they say it's better."
