Snip, snip! Kendall Jenner teased a major hair change via Snapchat on Friday, June 10.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 20, took a selfie (shot from the nose down) of the new haircut — a shoulder-grazing lob at least five inches shorter than her previous chest-level tresses. She captioned the snap with a simple scream emoji: 😱.
The last time the Estée Lauder brand ambassador had any significant length taken off was nearly a year and a half ago. In November 2014, Jenner revealed (via Justin Bieber’s Instagram) a style that fell just past her clavicle. Although she’s been spotted with bobs, bangs and even blonde hair throughout 2015 and 2016, they were just wigs or extensions.
The haircut is uncharacteristic for Jenner, who has admitted to being scissor-shy in the past. “People have asked me to get bangs, and I say, ‘No way.’ Thankfully, faux fringe is always a good solution!” she wrote on her website in February. “At least with something as drastic as cutting my hair, I most definitely have a say!”
But asking Jenner to cut her hair isn’t the worst request that’s been made of her. “I’ve been asked to alter my appearance in so many ways, it’s not even funny!” she explained. “I think the worst is when designers want to mess with my eyebrows. It always freaks me out because every time they do it, I lose them. They literally fall OUT! It’s bad — I really hate getting a bleach.”
