Her hair is full of secrets! Kim Kardashian cut her hair in Beverly Hills on Friday, May 16, right before she left for Europe ahead of her May 24 wedding to Kanye West. The reality TV star's hairstylist Philip Wolff of Shades Salon tells Us Weekly how he worked Kardashian's tresses before her extravagant wedding week.

"We wanted to keep length but not go crazy long like a few years back," Wolff explains, adding that he was able to achieve this by "opening up the neck and face with soft sexy textured layers to avoid having all that length overwhelm the face."

Adds Wolff, "Even with hair weight, staying lean is where it's at." The hair expert explains, "Soft textured layers are gonna be huge this summer—regardless of length choice—not as much chunky hard lines."

"This way versatility remains, no matter how one chooses to wear it," he tells Us. "Up, down, stick straight, beach wave or glam wave! This set up Kim for a great style as the bride-to-be."

To top the new haircut, Wolff says he used the WolffBehr Serum to ensure Kardashian's brunette locks were "polished and finished" before she joined West in Paris.

Though Wolff was tasked with making sure the 33-year-old star's hair length and style were in prime form ahead of the nuptials, he did not join the famous family abroad for styling needs. In fact, that role was reserved for Jennifer Aniston's longtime hair guru Chris McMillan.

As previously reported by Us, McMillan styled Kardashian's tresses the entire weekend, including Friday evening's pre-wedding festivities at the Palace of Versailles and Saturday's ceremony at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence.
