Lauren Conrad Totally Ditched Her Signature Beauty Look at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards

The lady is a vamp — if only for one night! Lauren Conrad ditched her signature beauty look of baby-pink lips with cat eyes in favor of something a little more dramatic at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards in NYC on Monday, June 6.

The Lauren Conrad Celebrate author, 30, modeled the deep plum Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Truffle, teamed with a touch of shimmering eye shadow sans liner, all applied by celeb makeup artist Tina Turnbow. To complement the edgy look, celeb hairstylist Sarah Potempa opted for a more deconstructed ‘do for Conrad: a low, messy braided bun, with tendrils pulled loose to frame her face.

The Hills alum, who recently announced that she and her castmates would participate in a reunion special on MTV to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary, also rocked two pieces from her upcoming second LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection for Kohl’s. She wore a full-length blush slip dress with a long blazer — one of her favorite pieces from the new lineup.

“It’s very menswear-inspired, but it’s still a flattering fit, and I love it because it’s much longer than we typically do,” Conrad exclusively told Us Weekly. As for the rest of the second collection, the former reality star, who also designs Paper Crown, added, “We always want to go very feminine because we have so much fun with [those] designs, but we definitely wanted this [collection] to have a more sophisticated feel. The colors are a bit deeper — there are a lot of grays, deep wines and dark greens throughout.”

The new runway collection will land in Kohl’s stores this fall.
