Look Back at Anne Hathaway's First Dramatic Haircut

Anne Hathaway doesn't hold back when it comes to getting into character.

The actress, 29, debuted a shocking pixie hair cut for her role in the big screen adaptation of Les Miserables while leaving a nightclub with fiance Adam Shulman in New York City early Sunday morning.

In the upcoming flick, Hathaway portrays Fantine, a prostitute stricken with a terminal case of tuberculosis who is forced to sell her hair in order to provide for her daughter, Cosette.

And this isn't the first time the star hacked off her hair. Back in 2008, she sported an edgy razor-slashed, blonde-streaked style to play a drug addict in Rachel Getting Married.

She stuck with the chin-length look for a few months, before growing it out to her shoulders.
