Eek! A very orange Maude Apatow shared the cringeworthy details of her beauty mishap in a Tuesday, August 30, Instagram selfie.
The daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, 18, should’ve been preparing for her first day of classes. But instead, she snapped a selfie of a tan gone wrong. “Spray tan nightmare pt. I lost count,” the House of Tomorrow actress captioned, wearing a black V-neck camisole that displayed a good stretch of her tawny tone. “I’m about to start college!”
Some of her followers made matters worse, poking fun at the teen’s new hue. “what if it rains acid?? Your tan will melt and people will think you’re a shape-shifting mutant! 😦😦 #prayforModd,” a user wrote. Others chose to offer up advice — and compliments — in Maude’s time of need. “It looks good in the picture sweetie!! Just one word to help you, cuz we have ALL BEEN THERE, EXFOLIATE!! 😉,” another suggested.
Maude, who’s appeared in Knocked Up, Funny People and had a recurring role in Girls, has shared her spray tan struggles on social media before. “Spray tan nightmare before prom part 2,” she tweeted on May 21, choosing to withhold the photographic evidence.
She joins the ranks of Chrissy Teigen, who chronicled her own dye disaster in May. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 30, went to sleep after getting a spray tan … and left an enormous amount of orange solution all over her pristine white bedsheets. “Spray tan diaries,” she captioned the shot.
