Sarah Hyland

That was quick! Sarah Hyland debuted a hair makeover on Instagram on June 17, going from dark brown to redhead. And despite noting that it was inspired by her Dirty Dancing costar Debra Messing, she's done with the look after just four weeks.

If Hyland's new sun-kissed highlights look — which she unveiled via Instagram on Tuesday, July 19 — is familiar, that's because it is her Modern Family character Haley Dunphy's signature shade.

In the big reveal, the Vampire Academy actress noted that her time as a ginger was just a necessary step in her back-to-blonde routine. (Going from a dark brunette to golden can cause hair breakage if done incorrectly.)

"Haha! Gotch ya! Back to a bronde for #modernfamily 😘," she captioned her selfie, adding the parenthetical, "The red hair was the process in to this and a happy surprise that I may want to go back to."

Hyland's spring and summer has been filled with more than just filming and hair makeovers. She debuted her first campaign for fashion label Candie's in June as well. "As the new creative director, I am excited to show the Candie's girl — and the professional, working woman — how she can go into that more sophisticated phase in her life while still keeping her style girly, fresh and fun," Hyland shared in a statement at the time. "She's a Candie's girl, after all!"

Candie's announced Hyland as the brand's first-ever creative director in April. Britney Spears, Hayden Panettiere, Lea Michele and Vanessa Hudgens have all previously modeled for the label, which is sold at Kohl's.
