Swift, 26, has transformed from natural makeup and spiral curls from her “Tim McGraw” days in 2006 to straightened hair with bangs and red lips for her 2012 track “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Now, after finishing the tour for her latest album, 1989, in 2016, she’s evolved to a platinum blonde bob.
The “New Romantics” singer’s bright look, which debuted ahead of Coachella in April 2016, is thanks in part to Vogue‘s Anna Wintour. “We very much wanted to give Taylor a new look. Make her into a rock ‘n’ roll chick,” Wintour shared of the edgy look and bright blonde hair, which debuted on Vogue’s May issue, on the Today show on April 14. “We love the way she looks. We think she looks young and modern and different.”
