Embracing her dark side! Shailene Woodley‘s deep brunette hair color made its red carpet debut at the NYC premiere of Allegiant on Monday, March 14.
The Divergent star, 24, who naturally boasts a milk-chocolate shade, rocked the raven hue on the red carpet, where she celebrated the third installment in the series alongside stars Theo James, Naomi Watts, Ansel Elgort and Miles Teller.

Woodley complemented the sultry shade with a black, embellished Elie Saab jumpsuit, teamed with black-and-white Casadei shoes.

Of the series’ continued success, Woodley told Us, “It’s always exciting when you work on something that you’re proud of. Ultimately I think we make these movies for selfish reasons — for ourselves, just so as actors and artists we are able to express ourselves. But when people receive them there is something really gratifying in that.”
The Spectacular Now actress was first spotted with the hair color while filming the HBO series Big Little Lies (opposite Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon) back in January.
