A little change! Vanessa Hudgens debuted a brand-new cut and color via her Instagram on Thursday, August 25.
The Grease Live! star, 27, had her already-short locks trimmed an inch or two to form a chin-length bob, but her major switch-up was the hue. Hudgens base color became a rich chestnut with brassy highlights that lightened up her entire look.
Previously, the Powerless actress wore her hair curly with nearly black-brown strands that grazed her shoulders.
“New hair thanks to @riawnacapri @ninezeroone #bronzey,” she captioned her ’gram, calling out Beverly Hills salon Nine Zero One and celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri. The next day, the High School Musical alum posted a second look at her style, writing in all emojis, “🍃🌹💋🌹🍃.”
Hudgens was in the mood for something different, Capri tells Us Weekly of the brighter, blonder look. “Vanessa was ready to switch it up for a bit since she had some time to play until her new show, Powerless, stars in January,” Capri says of the NBC series. “We went for a softer, more natural honey bronze. A bit lighter on the ends and around the face to create the illusion of sun-kissed hair. She’s obsessed and it works perfectly with her sun-kissed skin!”
